Each certificate TGHA issues is published to the register with its defined scope and validity — so buyers, regulators, and retailers can confirm status without contacting the certificate holder.
01 How long does Halal certification take?
Timelines depend on scope, number of sites, and readiness of your documentation. The lifecycle runs through eight defined stages, from application to certificate issuance. Your certification officer confirms indicative dates once the application review in Stage 2 is complete.
02 Which markets recognise a TGHA certificate?
Recognition varies by destination market and product category. Tell us your target market and we'll confirm what applies before you ship.
03 What does the certification audit cover?
Stage 1 is a desk review of your Halal management system, ingredient declarations, supplier certificates, and process flow. Stage 2 is an on-site audit of production, segregation, storage, cleaning validation, and Shariah compliance in practice.
04 Who makes the certification decision?
An independent certification committee reviews the evidence and makes the decision. It is deliberately separate from the audit team, preserving impartiality in line with certification-body good practice.
05 What happens after my certificate is issued?
Your certificate is published to the TGHA Halal Data Bank with its defined scope and validity. Scheduled surveillance audits and automated renewal monitoring then keep the certification continuously valid.
06 Can you certify a site that also handles non-Halal product?
It is assessed case by case. Our application captures whether Halal and non-Halal run on the same line, what is outsourced, and where non-Halal sources enter the process. Segregation and cleaning validation are then reviewed in detail during the audit.
07 How much does certification cost?
Fees depend on scope, site count, product complexity, and travel. Submit the pre-application enquiry and our team will prepare a costed proposal. Information you provide is treated as confidential and used only for price estimation.
08 Do you certify non-food products?
Yes. Alongside food, TGHA certifies cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, herbal products, cleaning products, packaging, animal feed, and logistics and storage operations.
